Valentines Day Teaching

It is very popular for early educators to make today about making mail boxes, sharing cards, and having parties, but I challenge each of you to use today as more than a special event. Today is about loving each other for who they are, accepting each other for who they are, and celebrating the relationships we have and cherish.

Today is about building connections in the brain. Connections on the outside build connections on the inside. Children learn best when they are in a trusting relationship with adults. As you celebrate Valentines Day, cherish the memories and experiences you are building (the connections).

Today is not only about the children in your class and your spouse and family. It is also about the relationship you have with your co-workers. Your connection to each of them is also prized and valued.

Spread the love everywhere you go today!
